It was brought to our attention that many of you were interested in knowing what we're doing in the community to participate in charitable giving.  The answer is a lot, so we've created this page for you to be able to keep up to date and see what great causes we support.  Below are some of the organizations that the company and the Germain family have contributed to lately.  It's important to remember that it is through the work that you do every day that we're able to give back to our community, so thank you for your part in making this possible!

Germain Gives

Nationwide Children's Hospital

 

Recently Rick and Libby have become more involved with Nationwide Children's Hospital in support of all of the wonderful work they do there.  

 

On Tuesday, May 12th, Rick and Libby Germain made a donation in support of Dr. Jonathan L. Finlay, Director of Neuro-Oncolory at Nationwide Children's Hospital.   Dr. Finlay is a renowned physician specializing in pediatric brain cancer and tumors.  Rick and Libby's donation will help fund his research and quest to find a cure.

Good Will Columbus Derby Day

 

The first annual Derby Day was held on Saturday, May 2nd at Huntington Park and was an event held to raise money for Good Will Columbus, organized by Barrier Breakers.

 

Good Will is an organization that provides individuals with disabilities and other barriers opportunities to build independence and improve their quality of life through  work opportunities.  Each year, Good Will provides 1.2 million hours of training, job placement programs and work programs for individuals with developmental disabilities.

 

Germain Lexus of Dublin & Germain Lexus of Easton were event sponsors with the all new RC F parked right out front!

 

Legends Luncheon

 

The Legends Luncheon brings to life the alliance between the Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation and Nationwide Children’s Hospital. All proceeds of the Legends Luncheon directly benefit the young patients treated and cared for each day at Nationwide Children’s. The goal of the Luncheon is to increase awareness of and further advance the incredible care given in the most needed areas of Nationwide Children’s. 

 

The Legends Luncheon raised $1 Million.

LifeTown Columbus

 

LifeTown is a unique interactive world where children with special needs have fun while they practice important life skills through role play. At LifeTown children with disabilities find a place that has been specifically designed to meet their needs. 

 

Through role-play, they practice important life skills, such as making and keeping appointments, visiting the library, banking, shopping or even applying for jobs. LifeTown is more than a community center or therapeutic facility. It is a house of friendship. 

 

By role-playing the various positions within LifeTown, volunteers allow the students who visit to practice everyday functions and interactions in a safe and controlled environment as they make the transition from classroom lessons to the real world experience.
