Germain of Columbus
Dear Germain of Columbus Employee,
Spring has sprung, and it seems to finally be driving the type of sales and service traffic that we would expect this time of year. March was a considerably better month, and we hope to see the results of some pent-up demand over the next few months!
Highlights for the month of March would include:
-
New cars at Nissan. They managed to hit 91 units and were the only store with a year-over-year volume increase.
-
New car gross at Ford. It might have been a record month for a per car average in new car gross.
-
Pre-owned sales at Ford. They led the group in volume and had the largest increase over 2014, and were up 13%.
-
Pre-owned gross at Nissan. Nissan had one if their better gross months, along with the largest increase for the month.
-
F&I. Lexus of Easton had the highest average, while Ford was not far behind, with the biggest increase.
-
Parts. Ford had the largest gross month, and was up 14%, while Mazda had the largest year over year increase at 27%.
-
Service. Lexus of Easton lead in gross and was up 7% while Nissan saw the largest year over year increase at 18%.
After a slow start in the first two months of the year, it was nice to get back on track to some degree, but we still have a fair amount of work to do to get where we would like to be in 2015. We have laid out a plan for what the next 9 months need to look like, and are shooting for a record April to get us off on the right foot!
Since we didn’t get a chance to recognize top performers for February, we have included the list for each of the months, but special thanks to Gera Grabovich, Mike Reid, Dean Mosier, Glen Kibbe, Michael Banton, and Ken Collins for leading the group in February and to Gera Grabovich, Bryon Tonn, Dean Mosier, Chris Blumenscheid, Scott Cropper, and Bob Tschappat for their performance in March
You will also notice a larger group of new hires than normal. They represent all of the folks who have joined us in February or March, so welcome to all of you. Likewise, included are anniversaries for each month, and congratulations go to Bryon Tonn and Richard Bable, at Ford for their 29 and 28 years of tenure!
Also click on to check out the Employees of the Month who have been recognized, Greg Sweeney, Lacey Storts, Wendie Martin, Don Shaw, and Jeremy Ross. You will also notice the large group from Ford. They represent a group of individuals who have agreed to serve on our Customer Experience Movement Team. This is an initiative from Ford that we have been involved with for the past few years that is dedicated to improving the customer experience as well as the working environment at the dealership. They are working to find ways to improve communication and processes within the store. Thanks to Cindy Ross, Sam Sayers, Chris Andreas, Jerry Votaw, Sergio Herrera, Derek Spann, Wes Morgan, and Andy Albright for their time and input, and to Joe Evener for leading the group.
Finally, we have finished the Organization Charts for each store. These charts will include not only a list of all of the associates by department and job description, but will also include photographs. This can be a very useful way to help put names with faces and we will work to keep it up to date on a monthly basis.
Thanks for what you do, and let’s rock and roll the remainder of the year!
Thanks,
-Rick G.
